STD Testing Procedure in Singapore
Like the symptoms, the screening for STDs will be different for men and women. Male patients will usually need to provide a urine sample and a blood sample, while female patients will be given a swab test and a blood test. A vaginal swab may also be collected for those who are not on their period. For the best results, it’s recommended that you hold your urine for about three to four hours before providing a urine sample for an accurate diagnosis.
In addition, during the doctor consultation, the doctor may ask you about your recent experiences on why you think you may have a sexually transmitted disease. To learn more, consult with a professional healthcare specialist.
